Life’s Messages: An Analysis Of Rashi

A brand new series of classes for women, offering a powerful combination of inspiration and intellectual challenge through a text-based analyses of the weekly Torah portion. Classes will focus on the writings of Rashi, a 12th century scholar acclaimed for his ability to present the basic meaning of the text in a concise yet lucid fashion.

Rashi appeals to both learned scholars and beginning students, and his works remain a centerpiece of contemporary Jewish study. His commentary on Tanach serves as the basis for more than 300 "supercommentaries" which analyze Rashi's choice of language and citations, penned by some of the greatest names in rabbinic literature.
